SMK-2 40m Surface Mount CW Transceiver
The SMK-2 is a fully functional surface mount component 40 meter transceiver. It has an independently tuned transmitter and direct conversion receiver. Full break-in TX with sidetone, and a modest 350mW output. The crystal VXO on receiver allow about 3 kHz+ tuning range on the crystal frequency. It was originally conceived as the SMK-1, a platform to teach SMT construction techniques, and to prove how easily a working transceiver was possible, but quickly gained attention as viable tool to test your low power skills to obtain WAS, as has been done by amatures when it was first introduced.
Hendricks SMK-2 Optional Switched Crystal BoardThis modification kit will allow you to expand your overall coverage and have three separate crystal frequencies for the SMK-2 Transceiver. The silkscreened pcb with the three position switch will mount over the main SMK-2 board, with leads aligned and extending down to the existing crystal and ground pads. We will include the crystals for 7122kHz, giving you all three positions, using the two frequencies supplied with the SMK-2 basic kit.
