Electret Microphone

The Hendricks Electret Microphone kit is a lightweight, easy to build accessory for the shack, or for portable phone operations. Leave the Heil at home on the desk, and don't worry about scratching it up. It has a high impedance (HiZ) element 2.2K ohm (Max), integral PPT switch, and it is perfect for backpacking or emergency use. The weight is a mere 1.4oz. (40gm.). All the components are provided, along with a 30" long flexible cable terminated with a 3.5mm molded stereo plug. The assembly manual is on-line, with general interface instruction links. Perfect for the BitX, MMR-40, and many SSB transceivers, consult your manuals for HiZ compatibility. Electret microphones require a very small amount of power to operate. This power is supplied on the audio lead through a dropping resistor, and a blocking capacitor is required on the radio side of the microphone input to keep the V+ from the audio input

  • Sensitivity: 44(0dB=1V/Pa,1KHZ)

  • Frequency Range: 70-20KHz
  • Standard operating Voltage: 3.0V
